Harmful new rules have been proposed that would negatively impact Oklahoma students, sexual health education, and school safety.
Tell the Oklahoma State Department of Education you oppose new rules on limiting materials in school libraries, allowing partial sex ed opt-out, and forcing educators to disclose changes in a student’s identity to parents.
Submit written comments by email to rules@sde.ok.gov by March 17 at 4:30 p.m. or hand-delivered during regular business hours at or sent by regular mail to the following address: Office of Legal Services, Oklahoma State Department of Education, Hodge Education Building, 2500 N. Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, OK 73105-4599.

The public hearing on the proposed new rules concerning obscene materials in schools is set for 10 a.m. March 17, and the public hearing on the proposed new rules concerning parental rights on sex-related matters is set for 2 p.m. March 17, both at the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
