Parents have a voice in sex ed! Join us for a Parent Advocacy Workshop on Tuesday, April 7th, from 5:30–8:00 pm at the Amplify office. This workshop will cover the landscape of youth sexual health in Tulsa and Oklahoma, sex education in Tulsa County, the role of the school board in sex ed, and how to build a personal advocacy narrative using your unique strengths. Dinner will be provided, and attendees will be entered into a raffle. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP using the Register button.
Our Parent Advocacy Group helps parents and caregivers advocate for sexual health education! The group explores how parents and caregivers can take meaningful action in support of youth sexual health, including speaking at school board meetings, writing op-eds, and engaging with local decision-makers. Members attend an initial workshop focused on education and advocacy. Once trained, parent advocates can continue to engage at their own comfort level and stay informed about current and future opportunities to advocate for sex ed in Tulsa.
