Join Amplify Youth Health Collective and Dr. Jabraan Pasha on October 27 for an Implict Bias training session! Through humor, poignant stories and refreshing large and small group activities, individuals will learn tools to begin to peel away feelings of shame and guilt many associate with Implicit Bias.

Amplify Youth Health Collective is thrilled to host Dr. Laura Arrowsmith for a foundational (and beyond) training on the social, emotional, and medical aspects of gender transition and gender-affirming care!

Amplify’s Youth Leadership Council is hosting a teen-focused sexual health resource fair on Saturday, May 27th, from 2 to 5 PM at the Equality Center. This event is for all young people ages 13-19.

We’re tabling at Mayfest! Stop by and see us at Guthrie Green from 11:00am-8:00pm Friday and Saturday, and 11:00am-6:00pm on Sunday.

Trauma-Responsive Practices in Sex Education will provide participants with information about the prevalence and impact of trauma on the brain and behavior, including the limitations of how trauma is assessed. This training will lead sex educators through taking a trauma-responsive approach within their classrooms and organizations, including creating an environment conducive to resilience and healing.

Positive Prevention Plus (P3) is a comprehensive, evidence-based sexual health and teen pregnancy prevention curriculum for middle and high school aged students. Topics include STI’s, Abusive Relationships, Healthy Relationships, HIV, Contraception, and much more. Participants must attend all four days to become certified educators for P3.

This session is a foundational training meant to prepare sexual health educators, school personnel, and other youth work professionals to support young people. Topics covered include holistic sexuality, adolescent growth & development, reproductive health, responding to sensitive questions, values in sexual health education, consent, contraception, and more.

Making Proud Choices (MPC) is an evidence-based, medically accurate teen pregnancy prevention curriculum. The curriculum’s goal is to provide youth with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of contracting HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy by abstaining from sex or using condoms if they choose to have sex. Participants must attend both training days to become certified educators for MPC.

Making a Difference! (MAD) is an evidence-based, medically accurate teen pregnancy prevention curriculum. The curriculum’s goal is to provide youth with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of contracting HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy by abstaining from sex. Participants must attend both days to become certified educators for MAD.
