Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs, formerly known as Sexually Transmitted Diseases [STDs]) are a serious public health concern that requires immediate attention.
Oklahoma’s STI rates are among the worst in the United States. Similar to national STI trends, STI rates in Oklahoma continue to rise and disproportionately impact young people, racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ people, and people experiencing economic hardship.
About the Tulsa STI Action Plan
In response to STI rates in Tulsa, Amplify Youth Health Collective convened the Tulsa STI Task Force to create and implement the Tulsa STI Action Plan. The Action Plan brings together data and recommendations from partners, the community, and medical experts to move us closer to a shared vision of stigma-free STI prevention and care for everyone.
The plan is structured around five pillars: Awareness and Education, Testing, Treatment, Advocacy, and Evaluation & Monitoring. Each pillar includes a goal and several objectives, supported by key activities that will be monitored to track progress.
Over the next five years, the Tulsa STI Task Force will work with the community to put these strategies into action.

About the Tulsa STI Task Force
The Tulsa STI Task Force is a diverse group of community members from across Oklahoma working together to make stigma-free STI prevention and care a reality for everyone in Tulsa.
